The Benefits Of Using Homemade Bath Salts

I don’t know why I didn’t care to pick up a colorful package of bath salts at the store until now except for the fact that I knew nothing about them. They just looked so delicate and I knew I wasn’t supposed to eat them. Maybe it was just a luxury for the rich and famous.
Little did I know about the world of aromatherapy and how mother nature’s elements would enrich me in all facets of life. And these bath salts are the closest thing to taking a natural mineral bath in a hot spring, for they are made up of epsom salt and dead sea salt. I can take a hand full of these salts and massage them into my skin to get the dead ones off. And while I’m getting the dead skin off, I’m putting some moisture back in! What do you know? Nice natural remedy to soothe my mind, body, and soul, eh? So, naturally it would be neat to make a jar full of these at home.
And who knew that I would be able to treat my pimples a lot better by exfoliating all my pores from head to toe with these homemade bath salts? All the scrubbing to open up the pores, to free the dirt and sweat to be washed away. Ohh la la! I am imagining how rejuvenated my entire skin will be after all the grossness is purged and removed. If I were to be this close to getting pimples on my face and back, I would be confident to know that the homemade bath salts would be the perfect help.
The added benefit of using homemade bath salts are not just revolving around cleanliness, but also with disinfecting properties, too. You can apply rubbing these epson bath salts to the skin when it is afflicted with Athlete’s Foot or eczema, or when you have some type of skin infection (or a rash). This can also be used to treat bug bites, too.
To add to these mentioned benefits, there is even more. I’ve been talking about all of the benefits that homemade bath salts can do externally, but what is also great is what they can do internally. If you have any tension in your muscles, you can massage the salts into your legs. I am sure that you must have experienced muscle tenderness at least once in your life.
What’s not evil is the awesome benefits of aromatherapy. When you smell scents like lavender, lavender, mint or other pleasant-smelling oils, you somehow find your mood transitioned to a relaxed one. This is no accident, as this is what aromatherapy does. Your stress and tension are at ease, your mind is eased, and it is all because you got to smell some homemade bath salts.
The salts in the bath water will also change the composition of the water itself, and it will help provide a nice protective layer on your skin to regulate how much water enters and exits through. Though, I doubt it will stop your fingers from getting wrinkled like raisins!
You can only imagine how much happier you will feel knowing that you made these bath salts right at home, where you got to choose what scents, what colors, and what beautiful jar you put the salts into. All those health and beauty benefits in one small jar.
